This “love letter to a post-postmodern Nietzsche" as an early ecologist and systems thinker, is the second book in the Moustache trilogy that began with Gurdjieff for a Time Between Worlds by Layman Pascal.

One of our many experiments was to spend an entire day watching a television set that did not receive any clear broadcast channels. Liminal, psychoactive television. Sitting together, hour after hour, we slid into willful delirium. Persuaded by our own trances, we collaboratively imagined hidden signals in the noise. Naturally, our conversation began to reflect upon the “magical act of viewing.” Personal stories, with embedded fragments of wisdom lore, are very pertinent. Our fluid autobiography is the central symbolic junction that can organize our inner and outer multiplicity of forces. It not only serves to integrate and refine our sense of self but it also acts as the underlying medium of all our communication.
Shamanoids are imagined as the socially and genetically conserved class of neurodiversities out of which candidates would anciently have been selected to serve as an organic priest, witch, shaman, weirdness worker, or gnostic intermediary for the human tribe. If shamanoids continue their archaic task of mediating between “village” and “wilderness,” then they are tasked with enabling anthropological systems to work, and to resemble, the flourishing of complex ecological systems. This seems to happen when sociological dynamics hover constructively around sweet spots that are enabled by a special balance of interconnectivity & separation.
